Robert's collages reflect a way of seeing the world as a unified whole. He uses a variety of elements that come together as the subject matter of his art. The directness and tactile qualities of the work result in a vibrating stillness and a dance of unexpected delight.

Brugger was born in 1960, in Austria and moved to New York City in 1982. He studied with renowned American painter Knox Martin at the Art Students League of New York from 1995-2000.
