Miyuki was born and raised in Tokyo Japan. She now makes her home in New York City, continuing as a painter, collagist and sculptor. She studied Ken-Do for more than twenty years. When Miyuki came to the United States she studied at the Art Students League and discovered her passion for painting. Painting should be emotionally charged with freedom and spontaneity to have life and energy. Attack the painting to touch the truth. To be sensitive enough. To be perceptive, that is what painting is to me.
