Monotype appeals to the artist as a method of spontaneous
expression. It allows experimentation of technique and
the freedom to explore ideas quickly. In that process,
there is variety in production and the stimulation to
go further-like seeing what is around the bend - an
adventursome journey.
Kathryn Johnson graduated from Rhode Island School
