David Kramer's art reflects the pursuit of metaphor. Taking
an image or an idea and transforming it into a flat and new
shape that, hopefully, creates an exciting visual experience.
He would say that he was first and foremost influenced by
the painter Knox Martin and then Cezanne, Matisse and Picasso.
Kramer, a mature painter is a native New Yorker, that renders
a reality in his work that can give those looking at his art
the experience of soft colors and images that can take on
the appearance of story writing depictions to engage in. Though,
Kramer leaves the unfolding of the visual experience to the
viewer.
