Dore Page is a fine art artist who develops soft, colorful
abstract prints created from her hand drawings that
are personal in nature.
She presents her work so the viewer can see the caligraphic
forms that move one to soft colors and fine linear shapes.
The overlapping of forms give dimension and movement,
they draw a viewer in and move them to sense the personal
emotion carefully applied to print form and from piece
to piece. They are satisfying and exquisitely executed
with masterly print techniques, developed over many
years and is a process involving many intricate steps.
The art is influenced by the Modern Masters, influenced
by members of the Fluxxus movement and her everyday
experience in the world. Her years of work dating back
to the 70's tell an engaging story through her print
forms.
Dore worked for many years in New York and collaborated
with the late Fluxxus artist, Dick Higgins, on several
well received projects. Dore's work is in collections
at MOMA, Sackner Archive, Getty Museum and National
Gallery of Art. She lives and works as a printmaker
in Rhode Island.
